Intensive nail care
When the nail modeling has grown out and a visit to the nail salon still has to wait, the question often arises: How do I care for my nails after gel nails?
We have put together some tips on how to give your fingernails a relaxing break:
Intensive nail care after artificial nails
- Nourish your skin with nail oil.
The emmi®NAIL vitamin oils are filled in a special pipette bottle. You only take up as much oil with the pipette as you place drop by drop on your finger afterwards without coming into contact with it. Thanks to this care treatment with vitamins A, C, H and F, brittle and cracked cuticles will soon be a thing of the past. The vitamin oil is also available as a practical roll-on for on the go. Many pleasant fragrances await you.
vitamin F The healthy fats in vitamin F strengthen the nails. The lipids in linoleic acid nourish and protect the nails from drying out.
vitamin C promotes the production of collagen and keeps nails healthy. The folic acid it contains in turn supports the growth of healthy nails.
vitamin A (retinol) acts as a growth accelerator and helps with brittle nails.
vitamin H (biotin) is very important for nail growth. It improves the structure of the keratin proteins in the nails. With a sufficient supply, the structure of the nails is strengthened and strengthened.
- Use a nourishing base coat.
Of course you want your nails to continue to shine in wonderful colors. You can easily do this yourself with nail polish or Shellac UV polish.
In addition to nail polish, we recommend a base coat for nail polish during this time, e.g. a care polish such as emmi®NAIL VCB-Bomb. With vitamins F, C, A, H (biotin) and calcium, your natural nails are moisturized and strengthened. It also provides additional elasticity, protects against damage and supports the growth of healthy nails.
The care polish also has the advantage that the color of the nail polish does not adhere to the roughened nail plate. If you want a natural shine on your nails, we recommend the emmi®NAIL polishing file. With the polishing file you can polish your nails smooth and shiny, completely naturally and without chemicals.
- Care for the whole hand.
Our soothing Ancour care cream has been specially developed to regenerate dry hands. Enriched with rice and almond oil, the cream nourishes your hands, leaving them soft and supple and enveloped in a heavenly fragrance, without leaving them greasy or sticky. It also helps to moisturize the cuticles and make them more flexible, making nail care easier.
- Remove cuticles regularly.
A weekly manicure is important for well-groomed and healthy fingernails, even without artificial nails. Soften the cuticles with a hand bath or use our emmi®NAIL cuticle remover. To remove dry and excess cuticles, emmi®NAIL cuticle remover is a gentle and careful alternative to conventional methods. It also prevents the formation of new cuticles and moisturizes your nails and skin. The castor oil it contains penetrates the skin particularly well and protects it from moisture loss.
To remove the cuticles, the cuticle remover must be applied to the excess cuticles with a brush and left to work for 1-2 minutes. It is removed from the natural nail in the direction of growth with a dry cellular tissue and the cuticle can now be carefully pushed back with a manicure stick or Pro Pusher to remove the dead cuticle. Nail scissors or cuticle nippers can be used to carefully cut off the cuticles.
- Eat a healthy diet.
A balanced diet is essential for beautiful and healthy nails. In addition to dairy products, nuts, eggs, fish and meat play a large part in this. Special food supplements can help to replenish the necessary biotin, zinc, calcium and silicon. Ask your pharmacist for advice when the time comes.
What is nail oil?
Nail oil is a special care product for nails and cuticles. With its high-quality ingredients, it supports healthy nail growth and stable nails, helps against dry and cracked cuticles and can prevent brittle and brittle nails. Nail oil is the perfect complement to nail polish.
Nail polish remover removes important oil from natural nails, which often makes them dry and brittle. Nail care with high-quality oils is also essential for gel nails or acrylic nails, as artificial nails put a lot of strain on the nail and demand a lot from it. Different active ingredients in the oil promote wound healing and additional vitamins ensure healthy nails.
What is nail oil good for?
Nail oil supplies the nail bed, nail plate and cuticles with important care substances. Cold, frequent hand washing or aggressive cleaning agents remove moisture and oil from the nail plate, resulting in dry skin. High-quality care compensates for the missing building blocks and thus supports the nail in its growth. Nail oil makes the cuticle supple. As a result, they do not tear so easily and this in turn prevents inflammation.
The nail plate develops layer by layer in the navel bed and pushes itself upwards bit by bit. Vitamins, calcium and biotin support the formation of a strong nail plate that forms a stable and even nail. If the nail bed is affected by inflammation of the cuticle, this leads to splintery nails and, in the worst case, to ugly spots on the growing nail. Various oils support:
- soft cuticles without inflammation
- healthy nail growth
- stable and beautiful nails without cracks and splits
- a nail plate without stains
No nail design should be without high-quality nail care accessories. Give natural nails new strength and help them to regenerate. Because healthy nails are beautiful nails. You can also pamper your cuticles and hands with our nourishing nail oils. Available in different shades and fragrances, emmi®NAIL nail care oils meet the highest standards of professional nail salons in terms of effectiveness. However, it is also worth investing in an effective, fragrant nail care oil at home to care for stressed nails with valuable ingredients such as panthenol and aloe vera. In our guide "Brittle fingernails", you can find out more about how to prevent brittle nails with a healthy diet.
How long does a nail enhancement last?
The product determines how long a natural nail enhancement with gel lasts. UV nail polishes last up to three weeks and can be removed with remover.
Conventional gel nails can be refilled after two to three weeks and in principle reinforce the nail indefinitely until the gel is filed off. As the Nature series is a UV gel, it cannot simply be removed with a liquid. However, the reinforcement looks so natural that you can simply let it grow out as required.
